May 06 (Encampment)

The night of May 5-6 was quite cold, but with little wind. The previous night had been wet, drizzly, cold and windy. The morning of May 6 was beautiful, clear and calm. In the early mornings on Library Walk, some fan noise is audible in the background, but otherwise it is very quiet and calm. Before the sky began to lighten, a chorus of birds starting singing, one species at a time. The pink tones of the brightening sky brought the volume up on the bird chorus. One of the camp security folx yelled out. A line of maybe 50 police in riot gear were observed marching like Nazi stormtroopers towards the Encampment.
