As scholars, we are disturbed by the lies, misrepresentations, anti-Palestinian and anti-Arab racist tropes and anti-Muslim bigoted tropes that UCSD senior administration has used to mischaracterize UCSD's Gaza Solidarity Encampment. In this document, we aim to challenge the senior administration’s racism through a rigorous scholarly contextualization of the Encampment and its relationship to the UCSD community, to UCSD's history, to the broader community in Kumeyaay Territory and to the global solidarity movement for Palestinian liberation. This is a living document that will be updated periodically as we receive additional testimony.
